06.23.2018: Smoking It

For Fathers Day, I got Vince an electric smoker.  We have been wanting one for years, but just never got one, thinking that only the gas/charcoal ones were any good.  We have had food smoked in a few electric ones and they always come out pretty good! It was time!  He had been talking about it for quite a while, so I got it last week and hid it in the garage.  I had him open it on Fathers Day when he got home, by giving him instructions on where to find it in the garage haha!

 

Today was the first chance we had to try it out!  So what better thing to smoke first than a big pork butt! After looking up multiple recipes, we settled on one and went to work!  To say that it came out amazing would be an understatement.  We absolutely loved it!!!  Can wait to smoke some more stuff.

06.21.2018: Sonoita Visit

When we got down to Sonoita, Larry wanted to get some fishing in! He said he could have stayed out there all day fishing haha. It is pretty cool if you don't get to do that everyday.  Oh, and you are never too old to make sand angels hahaha!

 

06.21.2018: Training Day at Davis-Monthan AFB

Vince and Larry had a training and demo meeting down at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson today.  We planned to have them go do their meeting then go spend the night in Sonoita.  They were meeting with the Parachute Riggers that are assigned to the PJ squadrons in the Air Force.  Young guys, super smart, eager to learn and see the new technologies out there. Vince and Larry spent a few hours with them talking to them and answering questions about their new Ambo system. I came along to take some pics for their social media accounts, and marketing materials!

Already knew I was gonna miss all the kiddos, but Bear grows up so fast that everytime I see him, he is already in a new phase of life.  I swear when they are this young, they change in just a day!!  Guess I overdid it with pics today - knowing I was leaving this afternoon. *Tears*

06.17.2018: More TX Fun for Me

I stayed here in TX for 2 more days after the guys left.  I had originally booked my ticket in advance and planned to stay a few days - before the guys decided to come out just for the weekend. We spent the day running some errands, going for a walk, and putting fake nails on the girls!  (Sure has come a long way from me putting paperclips on my nails as a kid pretending to have long nails hahahahaha!)

 

06.16.2018: Family Fun Night!

Best way to start out Family Fun Night is to continue with family fun afternoon! And pink drinks! We spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out around the house playing with the kids, having dinner, eating ice cream, and taking fun pictures!  Unfortunately, we had an early morning tomorrow since Vince and Drake had early morning flights!
