05.29.2010: Andrew's K Graduation Dinner

Brent & Alisa had a little party at their house for Andrew's Kindergarden Graduation. Some of Brent's co-workers were there...Mom & Dad came out...Vince, Drake, Justice and I. The kids had a blast....Brent BBQ's some yummy kabobs...we sat by the fire....the kids star-gazed...picked out a few good ones. They started the day playing the bean bag toss game...but the game turned into bean each other with the bean bags :) Funny how boys play!! Nana avoided that game....just ran around picking up bags for people...trying to dodge flying bean bags. Amazingly no one got hurt at all during the game.

This was the first party where the yard was completely done (minus the pool that hopefully will be installed someday). Looked GREAT! Ended the night sitting by the fire...enjoying the cool(ish) evening weather. One of the last great, cooler nights of the spring! We savored the moment!

05.28.2010: Dinner with Christina

Vince and I had a rare night with Christina...with no kids! So we took advantage and took her to dinner out in Scottsdale. Normally we love cooking at home when she is here...however, we all thought a night out would be fun! So, we started out at J.Alexanders for some of the best Mac & Cheese ever (as a side dish of course)....then went up to the Sanctuary on Camelback...for "just one" glass of champagne. Sitting by the fire, talking, enjoying the views...."just one" turned into "just 3". Oh well....it was amazing....and definitely can't wait to do it again!

05.27.2010: Taylor's Graduation Dinner

Brian Greene's son Taylor just graduated from high school in Colorado Springs....and is coming to ASU for college. After his graduation, he flew back to AZ with Brian for a couple nights to get his ID changed & whatnot....then went back to Colorado to pack his stuff and move down for good. One of Taylor's favorite foods is king crab legs.....so Vince grilled him some for his "celebration" dinner....I am sure just one of the first of many to come over the next few years with him living here. YUM,YUM!!!! Yes, he really did eat all that crab!

05.22.2010: Drake's Last Two Games

On Sat, Drake had his 2 final games of tackle football this season. He had the doubleheader because the season started late. We had the afternoon game, then an early evening game. Drake had a whole sideline of fans for the late game. Vince and I...Brian Greene....Brent, Alisa & kids....Glenn & Jan & Makenna...and one of his neighbor friends. It was fun game, and they won..both actually. Ended the season with only one loss...not bad!!!!
Today was also Brent's birthday so we went out to dinner at BJ's for some beers, good food, and PAZZOOKIS. :)

05.19.2010: Drake's Last Practice

Last day of practice...kinda sad!!! Since we decided not to all do the NYS picture day because of the ridiculous costs & program as a whole...we did pics ourselves. Kids got to do their share of funny poses....and have their honorary teammate in the pics as well :)

05.15.2010: Makenna's 2nd Birthday

After Drake's game we drove out to Eric & Karissa's house for Makenna's 2nd bday party. They had a lot of friends & family there so it was good meeting new people & catching up with family. The cake took a dive after everyon had a piece....and it was so good too!

Makenna was so cute opening her gifts...because like many kids, she would open one and walk off with it....not really caring about the other 50 that were sitting there! Oh well...she seemed to enjoy herself...

05.15.2010: Drake's Football Game #6

This week's game was at 1pm in the heat of the afternoon....but the slight "breeze"made it ok. Vince giving Drake some last minute instruction.....and a little hydration. Drake made some great tackles...and another TD this game. He is getting more & more aggressive, and comfortable in his positions on the field. He is getting great at reading the offense and watching the movement of the ball...and chasing it down!

The tunnel for the players at the end of the game....lets you know these are still just kids! :)
