2.16.2010: Brianna's Actual Birthday and the making of SLEEPING BOOTY

For Brianna's actual birthday, Vince and I took her to "Build-a-Bear". For some reason she told Alisa that we were going to do that for her....so of course we had to!! Cuz she thought we were. It was actually kinda cool since I had never been there before. She knew the deal though since she has made a bear before. This bear she was very specific about. She wanted her to have a princess dress, and HAIR. Kinda creepy...really creepy...but she had to have it. (I think now it kinda creeps her out too so the hair has since been removed). She had to name the bear and very appropriately gave it the name of "SLEEPING BOOTY". Very cute! And she very proudly carried her bear around in its cardboard carrying house.

After bear building, we got some ice cream and sat out and enjoyed the beautiful day. The camera came out eventually, and Nana had to show off her new birthday outfit...and new model poses that she had learned (from TV) and had been practicing. Seriously, I now realize that there is a very good reason Brent has so many guns...watch out boys!

2.14.010: Valentines Day at Home

Vince and I had the priviledge of sharing V-day together at home alone...with Kaizen. We grilled some crab legs on the patio, drank some great wine...and sat outside enjoying the gorgeous spring weather. It was nice to just chill at home together!!! Vince had flwon home from NY late the night before so we hadn't seen each other in a couple days. Glad it made it out of the NY snow storm, and was home for Vday! Great first V-day as husband & wife :)

2.13.2010: Brianna's 4th Birthday Party

For Nana's 4th Birthday Brent and Alisa had a lowkey party at their house....just how Nana likes it! Just a few of her favorite peoples. Not too many to make her nervous...but enough to consider it a "party". She got her "princess party" however we all didn't wear princess dresses as she requested. It would have been fun, but we couldn't find enough in all the right sizes, so Alisa decided to skip the dresses :) I am sure the boys were thankful! (Not sure if she wanted them to wear dresses too...or if they had to wear prince costumes...aka pretty tights!) Haha! Other than that, it was all princess :) She got lots of gifts...had a yummy dinner & cake...visited with all the family...we all had a great time as always.

Mom's uncle & aunt, Larry & Lila Lynne, from North Dakota were in town visiting their son, Paul, and his family. We hadn't seen them in YEARS. Probably hadn't seen Paul since he was a young teenager....but looks exactly the same! He brought his wife and new son as well. Such a cute little baby. It was so good to see Larry & Lila too!! Hopefully we will get to see them much more often since they will be back to visit. Also, since Paul & his wife live out in Mesa also, they will be invited to our next parties!! We all had a great time catching up with them!

Oh - the last picture is of Yukon staring at Cash (Kenny's yellow lab who is kinda crazy!) who was locked up in the kennel. At first we were wondering what Yukon was doing....maybe felt sorry for Cash...wondering what he was doing in there....wanted to get in there himself?? We weren't really sure...until we realized that Cash had Yukon's bone in there with him. Hmmmm....poor Yukon!! How to get the bone out, yet leave the crazy puppy in there!!??

2.13.2010: Andrew's Baseball Game

On Brianna's Birthday weekend, Andrew had a baseball game. So we started off the Sat festivities with his game. Vince was out of town on business, so I went solo. Mom and Dad & Gina, Bill and Chris all came out from CA for the weekend.

Again, not really sure who won the game...since "everyone wins" but it was a GORGEOUS day outside and the kids had fun playing! Andrew did really well and seemed very focused!

2.03.2010: Greg's Birthday Dinner

For Greg's birthday, we had a lowkey dinner at the house. All the Hearns came over to help celebrate. We had a great time...drank wine, had great food, great cake, and fun stories!!! Greg even broke out his birth certificate to prove the day was actually his birthday. Great evening all together before Greg headed to New York for the next year.
