6.29.2009: Charles & Katrina in Phoenix

Vince's brother Charles, who lives in Brownsville, TX, came out to Phoenix for a week to visit and pick up his daughter, Katrina, who was here in town visiting all the family for a month. Luckily, we got to hang out a couple times with Charles, and Vince got to spend a little more time that usual with him. Charles, Katrina, and Vince's mom all came over for dinner the night before he left. It was fun having him here visit and we look forward to him coming back soon....and bringing his wife with him next time too!!! :)

06.21.2009: Fathers Day at Brent & Alisa's

We spent Fathers Day Sunday at Brent & Alisa's house....eating good food, drinking good wine, and watching the kids play in the backyard. All very wonderful & relaxing things to do!! And of course, as soon as the camera comes out...the kids can't wait to have their pictures taken....what a bunch of hams! I think I have about 20 of Andrew and Brianna posing in front of me.

Anyways, didn't get any of the other adults there.....but we were!!! :)

6.06.2009: Allison's Graduation Party

On Saturday night, Kenny & Nicole hosted a Graduation Party for Allison at their house. We all headed over there for some yummy dinner and drinks....and karaoke, and dancing, and live music! The evening started with Nicole & Vicki showing a slide show of pics of Allison and her best friend Mara growing up. It was very cute and very emotional for some!! Allison was crying half way thru! :) SO was Nicole (as you can see from their pics below...)

After the slide show, we went out to the game room for some live music from Matthew's band. They were VERY good!!! Very impressive!!!! Allison & her friends all helped sing the second set.

Later on, we did a little dancing and karaoke (with Kenny & Nicole's new karaoke machine...NICE!!).....of course! All had a great time!!!

CONGRATS girls on your high school graduation!!!! Both Allison and Mara are heading to the University of Arizona in Tucson in the fall for college! GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN!!!!!!! :)

6.06.2009: Flagstaff Fun!

A group of us headed to Flagstaff for the weekend to visit Kenny & Nicole....and to celebrate Allison's high school graduation (see next post). Allison is Nicole's sister! :)

We spent the weekend at Fort Tuthill...the military recreation base up there. On Sat, we spent the day playing beach (minus the beach) volleyball, basketball, pool...and just generally hanging out. Volleyball was a LOT of fun!! It has been a while since I have played....probably a while since most of us had played....but we had a BLAST! :)

After volleyball, we took a drive up to Lake Mary. The lower lake was pretty much dried up....the upper lake was much nicer. We all packed into Bill's van and he cargoed us out there. Good thing he is a safe driver!! :)

Weather was perfect and it was a VERY nice escape from the Phx heat!!!!

5.31.2009: SUMMER FUN!

The first day of June....our second day of SUMMER FUN!!!! Vince & I played hooky on Monday and we got to have 2 back-to-back days of pool, sun, bbq-ing, hanging out with friends & family.... Pictures never do the day justice!! Brian & his kids came over....Alisa & the kids came over...and we had Drake. The kids played in the pool all day, then hit the driveway for some scooter fun! And started a jumping contest! Very cool! It was just like the old days (when Brent & Alisa were living here)....Vince would BBQ and we would all sit out in the driveway socializing!! We really do miss that!!! So, we got to hang out in the driveway just like old times! Haha! Funny how something so simple at the time became something we all loved...and miss!! Anyways, we had a blast....and I think all the kids slept for 2 days straight afterwards! :)
