There were 7 kindergarden classes from his school all graduating.....160 kids!!! Now what is amazing is that there were not even that may kids that graduated from my high school!!! :)

05.25.2009: Las Vegas Weekend
We spent the Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas with Mom, Dad, Kenny and Nicole. We got to spend lots of time by the pool at Ceasars during the day, gamble and drink at night...and even took in a couple shows. On Sunday, we went to the Harrah's Comedy Improv. That was a LOT of fun....very funny comedians...for the most part!! :) It was a great change from the regular old Vegas night scene. On Monday, we started the trek home....until we got about half way to Hoover Dam....and came to a screeching halt. A halt that did not move for an hour. So, like many others....we turned around and went back to Vegas. The rest of the crew was spending the night on Mon anyways, so we just decided to crash their party. We headed back....checked back into our room...and got ready for another Vegas night. We ended up all going to see Wayne Brady. OMG! (I never say that, but Wayne Brady deserves an OMG!) That was one of the best shows I have seen in a LONG time! He is amazing! Comedian, improv, singer, rapper, dancer, all around entertainer!!! If you have the opportunity to see him, please go! Also, a few of his songs are my new favorites for the moment....Ordinary...and Back In The Day. The dance routine for Back In The Day is classic! We loved it!! :)
OH - The large bud lights in the last picture are NOT an optical illusion! They really are huge! It was fun getting them, but no fun walking around with them! Haha!

05.21.2009: ENGAGED!!!
It is official!!! We are ENGAGED!!!
How did it happen, you ask?????
One of our most favorite places to go relax, have a drink, listen to live music, or just get away is the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch. The resort is only a few miles from our house, but when you walk in, you can feel a million miles away. It is gorgeous, peaceful, relaxing, and happening...all at the same time. We have spent many evenings there either listening to live jazz in the lobby/bar area, or just sitting out by the fire pit on the lake.
The night before we were to head to Vegas for the weekend, Vince wanted to go over to the Hyatt for a drink....our signature COSMO! The best there! So, after a tough week of work, and hectic long days, it sounded like a good idea, so I agreed.
This Thursday night, it just so happens to be raining. EXTREMELY rare for a May evening in Arizona!!! The temp was perfect...a little chilly....again EXTREMELY rare!!
A little history on us....we LOVE the rain! We chase the rain. We sit outside on the patio every night during a monsoon. We go for walks as soon as it starts sprinkling. We sit in the jacuzzi in hail storms. We don't even own an umbrella.
So, we head to the Hyatt, get our cosmos, and head out to sit in the rain by the fire pit. Lucky for us, they just added little cabanas out there so we got to sit under slight cover looking out into the lake. Not long into the evening, we started reminiscing about the evenings we used to spend there. Next thing you know, Vince drops to one knee, pulls a big diamond ring from his pocket, and pops the question!!! NICE!!
His proposal could not be more perfect, or better timed! In Arizona, you cannot just wait for rain, because who knows when it would come. He was going to do it that night anyways, but the setting made it so perfect....it was fate!!
How could I say no!!!???
Sooooo, no ring pictures yet....only because the ones I took came out blurry :( Stay tuned!!!

5.10.2009: Happy Mothers Day!!
On Sunday, Mother's Day, a group of us went to Disneyland!! What a perfect day to go! Christina and Justice met us in Anaheim, and we set out for a GREAT day at the HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!! :) It wasn't too crowded at all...in fact after the evening parade, the park basically cleared out. It is great going on a Sunday! The kids had a blast! Drake and Justice had never been there before, and it had been a while for Vince & Christina too. Andrew & Brianna had gone last year, but Brianna was a little too young, and Andrew had MUCH more fun having his buds there to experience it with this year! They all went on almost every rollercoaster ride. Some didn't like it so much, but they didn't want to be the one not to go. Actually, out of all of them, I think Andrew still has nightmares about Snow White! That is a pretty scary ride for kids! :) We literally spent the entire day there....and closed the park down. Some highlights:
- Brianna made Minnie Mouse very sad because she was terrifed of her! Started out excited to see her, but as she got close, she freaked!
- Justice cried thru the ENTIRE Thunder Mountian Railroad ride, but as soon as he got off said "It wasn't that bad"
- Andrew is still terrified of Snow White
- All the kids got matching hats with their names on them
- NO LINE for Pirates of the Carribean!! Whoohoo!
- I still don't know Goofy is so popular but everyone can't wait to see him
- Roger Rabbit is really not a good kids ride for "Toon Town"
- The NEMO submarine ride is much better than the old school one we grew up with!
- The boys got to go dance in the parade and loved it!
- The boys also got cool light sabers (swords to beat each other with!)...and Nana got princesses
- Luckily we got to skip the petting zoo which I think is wierd to have at Disneyland...and it stinks!
- We missed Space Mountain and Splash Mountain :( Next time!
- I never got my frozen banana...however everyone I saw with one just looked strange eating it...no, they just looked strange in general...so, maybe good that I skipped it
- We left the park at 11pm...with Churros in hand...FINALLY....and YUMMO!

5.09.2009: Chris's 21st Birthday Party
Yup, it is official....Chris has turned 21!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!! Seems like just yesterday we were jingling little plastic keys over his blond head to make him laugh....that was about 20 years ago now though....pre-walking...hahaha! Cannot believe that he has turned 21 already! Well, we all know what that means now.....Vegas trip anyone????? :)

5.09.2009: Pre-Mothers Day with Gramma & Papa
On Saturday morning, we headed over to Gramma & Papa'a house to wish Gramma a Happy Mothers Day and visit. Mom gave Gramma & Papa 2 reclining lounge chairs...which are really comfortable...but not so easy to get out of! We spent most of the time running from Pokey, the turtle! We all had sandals on with painted toes....well most of us anyways...and Pokey really seems to like that. It was a nice morning...again perfect whether to be outside!
