July Texas Trip
It was NOT a dry heat!!!!
So Vince and I went to Texas for a week, and holy cow was it hot! More humid that actual heat, but kinda miserable nonetheless. Most of the evenings were nice though so we got to hang outside and play with the kids. Depsite the yucky weather, the visit was wonderful, as always!! Andrew and Brianna can make any weather bareable as long as you get to play with them. Didn't seem to slow them down at all. Oh - and we got to see a little rain...not much, but enough to get us through until monsoon season out here.
Andrew turned 3 the day before we got there, and he knew it. Alisa and I were at Starbucks the next day and a man asked him how old he was, and he said 3. Smart little guy! So, even though he already celebrated his birthday, we celebrated again.
We spent a lot of time in the evening out in the front (when it wasn't raining) watching the kids ride around on Andrew's new tractor. He became a good little driver in those few days! Only got stuck when he ran into walls :) Brianna was a good passenger, but always seemed to want to go faster! Andrew "gave" her his old little motorized quad and she loved it. She liked to stand up on it and drive at the same time....daredevil! And so cute to see her do it in her dress!
We went to San Antonio one night and had a HORRIBLE dinner! The drinks were even bad! How does that happen!!?? But, we ended up getting it all for free...except Brent's beer. They made us pay for that, and I guess that was pretty much the only thing worth paying for anyways. But, it was fun being out in a different city and hanging out with everyone.
Unfortunately we had to leave! Miss them all sooooo much!! :(
Can't wait to see them again!!!!!
