Alisa and the Kids Visit AZ

I was able to convince Alisa to come down to AZ for a few days with the kids after the houseboat trip this year. Unfortunately, Brent had to go back to Texas and work. :( They were practically around the corner, so I needed to take advantage of the opportunity!! So we drove back from Vegas after Lake Mead to my house.

We had a great time with them here...I hope they had as much fun too! We went to a little water play thing for the kids, a choochoo train park, played in the pool, had delicious dinners, went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant which has a pond in the middle of it and fed the ducks, and Mom and Dad came down for the weekend for a last visit with them before they headed back to TX. Kenny and Nicole were also here for the weekend, so we had a full house. Vince BBQ'd some tasty ribs and we hung out by the pool during the day Sat, then it was time for everyone to leave on Sun. It was a depressing afternoon!!!!

We had such a great time having them here in AZ! It was soooo hard to see them go! Thank goodness I get to see them again soon! Can't wait to start planning the next big event!

It was over 110 most of the week, but I don't think anyone really minded. It is a dry heat.....

Lake Mead Houseboat Trip 2007

This month we had our second annual Lake Mead Houseboat trip....and it was a BLAST! We all met in Vegas on Thurs evening for a little pre-party drinking and gambling to get primed up for 4 days on the lake. I think we did quite well, although some of us couldn't hang as late as others! You know who you are.....

Friday morning we loaded up the boats and headed out to our spot. 21 people on a boat that only held 12 (or so they say). We named it the refugee boat, although it was pretty damn nice! Durbins and Kennedys had their boats, and Andrew had his "boat" (SeaDoo)....although he didn't like it too much this year. Nana liked it enough for them both though.

We had a great 3 nights & 4 days out there and too many good times to mention. Just a few blurbs to jog your memory for those that were there though:
